1. ARCHIBALD: VIRTUOUS FOR PEOPLE AND THE PLANET

 

Virtuous... what does it mean ?

"Virtuous, adj.: who manifests virtue, moral qualities: Virtuous conduct . Who is inspired by noble feelings. Who does good, who is just, who is honest."

And for us, what does this mean?

Make the best choices when they exist, work to develop solutions that do not yet exist, for us and for others….

 

This is what we call contributing!

 

It means working with the men and women who make Archibald to come up with new solutions.

Since its creation, 3 lines of work have mobilized us to make Archibald virtuous:

- PROTECT THE HEALTH OF ALL, OFFER HEALTHY PRODUCTS

especially on a pleasure category

  • level and quality of sugar: no sweetener but organic cane sugar with a controlled rate among the lowest in the category (7g / 100ML vs an average of 8g / 100ML)

  • organic quality (AB certification)

  • glass bottles only, no PET

  • sourcing of the best ingredients, no coloring agent…

- REDUCE OUR IMPACTS ON OUR PLANET

because we have impacts and we must first reduce them before we can one day succeed in avoiding some…

  • an organic quality which requires ingredients from environmentally friendly productions

  • a majority of local suppliers and partners in order to limit CO2 emissions

  • vegetable-based and solvent free inks for all our labels and boxes

  • ecological glues for the labelling

  • cases in cardboard made from sustainably managed forests (FSC label), printed in only one color

  •  imprim'Vert certified local printers (for packaging and POS)

  • label papers made essentially from recycled fibers

  • cuttings from cardboard cases reused as much as possible to create promotional material ...

  • products display in recycled raw wood

  • anti-waste optimized with 3 bottle sizes (and with screw caps for big sizes) for every need

- SUPPORT PEOPLE

  • local suppliers and partners as much as possible to support our territory, our country   

  • know-how protection, such as the expertise of our gentian gatherers 

  • giftboxes and POS material done by a local ESAT (French Sup-port and Work Assistance Establishment

  • use of a Fair Trade cane sugar

Behind Archibald there is La Société des Vieux Copains.

And behind La Société des Vieux Copains, there is an entrepreneurial adventure built on a conviction: "Because we want a better, responsible and enthusiastic world, and because we are convinced that adult drinks - spirits and soft drinks - must also go in this direction, we are rethinking this category and its ecosystem. Thus, based in Bordeaux in the Darwin ecosystem, "La Société des Vieux Copains" creates adult drinks (spirits and non-alcoholic drinks) not to be the best in the world, but in order to be better for the world !

If we exclude the distillery, we are a team of 4 people. of which 1 person dedicates her time to our "Positive Spirit" actions. This shows how this approach is important.

 

More than an approach, Positive Spirit is the state of mind of La Société des Vieux Copains where 3 great values ​​appear to reign: freedom, respect and optimism! We are not activists, but just people who want to do things well and who are convinced that together we can make things happen!
