Why a Cagouille and not a snail? A Cagouille is Charentaise, like the Residence range of spirits, otherwise it is a snail!
 
All Residence spirits are distilled in the heart of the Charentes region, in traditional Charente stills, benefiting from expertise dating back two centuries.
 
Elaboration: All botanicals are individually distilled before being blended. The organic juniper berries are distilled in a traditional Charentais still. Another flagship botanical, bergamot, of which only the skin is used, is dried directly at the place of harvest before being infused. Not being able to reveal everything about this superb recipe, it is important to remember that four other botanicals complete the aromatic palette.
Tasting:
To the eye: A crystalline color that may show a slight haze at low temperatures.
Nose: A frank, fruity, round and spicy attack. This is followed by heart notes of fresh, slightly resinous juniper berries, orange blossom, bergamot and a hint of angelica root. The discovery of the base notes reveals a harmonious whole of nutmeg, cloves and Timut pepper.
Taste: the attack is silky, warm, of great richness. A generous bouquet of candied oranges follows, combining citrus zest and delicate spices found on the nose in the base notes with cinnamon in addition.
